  • At the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health, we work to enhance the quality of life through the improved health of the public. Our school is dedicated to the protection and improvement of the health of people not only here in Chicago and the state of Illinois but across the nation and around the world. Established in 1970 and fully accredited, the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health offers five degrees: the Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Science (MS), Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) and the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). With the addition of joint degrees, certificate programs and non-degree continuing education opportunities, the school serves over 700 full- and part-time students and professionals practicing in the field. The School of Public Health is internationally recognized for research strength, educational excellence and commitment to community service. The school is particularly distinguished for its expertise in: community health maternal and child health occupational and environmental health and safety epidemiology and biostatistics HIV/AIDS prevention research public health practice and leadership health services administration violence prevention substance abuse and tobacco control healthy aging emergency response preparedness. Situated on one of the nation’s most diverse campuses in one of the world’s largest concentrations of advanced public and private healthcare facilities, the School of Public Health offers students extensive opportunities to translate classroom learning into hands-on experience and engaged research.

GLRPPR is a member of the Pollution Prevention Resource Exchange, a national network of regional information centers: NEWMOA (Northeast), WRRC (Southeast), GLRPPR (Great Lakes), ZeroWasteNet (Southwest), P2RIC (Plains), Peaks to Prairies (Mountain), WSPPN (Pacific Southwest), PPRC (Northwest).
