  • Located in Chicago's western suburbs, this school district serves students in DuPage and Will Counties in 30 schools. The district serves students from parts of Aurora, Naperville and Bolingbrook. The purpose of the Energy Management Program is to avoid wasting utilities in order to save money to be used for instructional needs. In the first two years of the program, the district has avoided costs of $1.5 million. The success of the program is based on behavior modification of staff, faculty and students. Recent projects include: daylighting and effect on student performance and behavior, lighting retrofit using 5000K lamps, solar voltaic, waterless urinals, and integration of the NEED curriculum.
