Abstract:
Part of the Ohio Healthy Hospital Pollution Prevention Initiative, the Mercury Challenge Program is a joint effort of the Ohio Hospital Association and the Ohio EPA Office of Pollution Prevention. The program is voluntary and is helping Ohio medical facilities to become national leaders in eliminating mercury and/or containing mercury waste by 2005. This handbook contains information on how to participate in the Mercury Challenge program, examples of things you can do to reduce and/or eliminate mercury from your facility, and resources for more information about environmental practices.
