GLRPPR Sector Resource: 2013 Case Study: Johnson Controls

Title:
2013 Case Study: Johnson Controls

Abstract:
An international energy service company that provides services to more than 150 countries to increase building efficiency, Johnson Controls took on a project to reduce energy consumption on about 90 buildings on campus as the Kansas State University. The recommended implementations for the water conservation project included domestic water-cooled condensing units, pool covers, condensation from cooling coils to steam plant return, and reuse of backflush water from reverse osmosis. Other projects included adding controls to regulate energy consumption, steam tunnel pipe installation, and energy efficient lighting.
