GLRPPR Sector Resource: - Tips and recipes to reduce food waste

Title: - Tips and recipes to reduce food waste

The Love Food Hate Waste campaign aims to raise awareness of the need to reduce food waste. The campaign shows that by doing some easy practical everyday things in the home we can all waste less food, which will ultimately benefit our purses and the environment too. "Love Food, Hate Waste" is brought to you by WRAP (Working Together for a World Without Waste, a UK organization), who are also responsible for encouraging recycling and home composting. WRAP is funded by the UK government and works to encourage and enable businesses and consumers to be more efficient in their use of materials and recycle more things more often. This helps to minimize landfill, reduce carbon emissions and improve our environment. The Love Food Hate Waste web site provides tips for reducing food waste by examining portion size, meal planning and money saving tips, recipes and leftover use tips, tips on storing food and prolonging freshness, and information on food waste (note that some information is UK specific).
