GLRPPR Sector Resource: EPA: Construction and Demolition (C&D) Debris

Title:
EPA: Construction and Demolition (C&D) Debris

Abstract:
This portion of the U.s. EPA website provides information on reducing and recycling construction and demolition (C&D) debris. The "Basic Information" section provides an overview of the C&D debris waste stream, disposal practices, EPA's goals for its C&D debris programs, and some success stories about C&D reduction and recycling. The "Where You Live" section describes regional and state programs. The "Reducing C&D Debris" section describes a wide range of C&D debris reduction techniques by methodology (reduce, reuse, recycle, and rebuy) and by material. The "What You Can Do" section gives practical advice on reducing and preventing C&D debris when planning a construction/remodeling project. The "Publications" section lists recent publications, case studies, and factsheets. Finally, the "Related Links" section offers a wealth of relevant links on C&D research/funding; green building; and disaster debris.
